Cooking Class
Italian cuisine sections are offered by Pieve International School, you can apply to one morning class that will end with the final lunch. Participant will study with Sicilian Aristocrat Bibi, a charming Lady that will share with you the secrets of the renowned Sicilian cuisine!
During the 3-hour cooking class program participants will learn the following recipes:
Antipasti (starters)
- Caponata (eggplant appetizer)
- Peperoni in agro/dolce (sweet and sour red peppers)
- Fritto misto all’Italiana (fried vegetable with “pastella”, a special dough)
Primi (Main courses)
- Pasta alla Norma ( most popular Sicilian sweet sauce with eggpant)
- Carbonara (most popular Italian sauce with Italian bacon “pancetta” and eggs)
Secondi (Second course)
- Cotoletta alla Siciliana (Sicilian cutlet veal meat in bread crumbs and “Pecorino” cheese)
Contorno (side dish)
- Gateau di patate (sweet and sour potatoes)
Dessert
- Pesche al vino (peaches with wine)
